The Watches at the Met Gala 2024
Welcome back IWS friends, as we do every year the famous charity Gala dinner held to raise funds for the Costume Institute Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York.
Such a social event is the perfect opportunity for celebrities from Hollywood and beyond to show off all their flair-or essentiality-with incredible outfits and, of course, lots of watches.
So, let’s find out together all the watches worn by celebrities during the Met Gala 2024
Lil Nas X with Vintage Piaget in White Gold
As you know, the American singer is known for his originality, in songs as well as in the way he dresses and, certainly, also in the watches he wears. For the Met Gala 2024, Lil Nas X wore a spectacular Piaget white gold bracelet with a Malachite dial.
This is a very refined and elegant watch that fits on the wrist like a bracelet. The green stone dial gives additional uniqueness due to the unique veins.
Alexander Skarsgård with Hublot Classic Fusion Chronograph Titanium Racing Grey 42mm
Skarsgård rose to prominence through his roles in Big Little Lies and Succession. His understated, timeless look is complemented by a Hublot titanium chronograph with a black dial and black crocodile leather strap.
Chris Hemsworth with Chopard Alpine Eagle
Matching his cream-colored suit, Chris Hemsworth chose a Chopard Alpine Eagle in rose gold with a slate dial. But beware, despite the sobriety of the suit, the actor decided to spice up the look by choosing the version with a set of brilliant-cut diamonds on the bezel.
Jeremy Strong con Richard Mille RM UP-01
The famous Kendall Roy of Succession wore an outfit worthy of his character for the occasion. To top it all off, he decided to wear the incredible Richard Mille RM UP-01 Ferrari on his wrist, the Mille watch that until a few months ago could boast of being the thinnest timepiece in the world.
The list price to afford this sci-fi watch is 1.88 million euros.
Serena Williams with Audemars Piguet Royal Oak Flying Tourbillon Openworked Tourbillon in Sand Gold
As we know, Serena Williams has a long and well-established relationship with Audemars Piguet, so much so that we have seen her wearing the maison’s watches even on the tennis courts.
For the Met Gala she opted for one of the latest additions to the AP house, a stunning Royal Oak Flying Tourbillon Skeleton. What attracted collectors the most, however, is not so much the complication or the workmanship of the dial, but this brand new shade of gold.

Colman Domingo opted for a very elegant IWC Perpetual Calendar in rose gold with a black dial. A mix of gold and black color perfectly matched his suit.
